HOW YOU CAN BENEFIT FROM COUSELING

People tell me they hesitate to get professional help for a time because they think their problems aren’t important or will just go away. But getting help is a great way to be proactive about working out your problems. Counseling provides you with a time and a space to take care of yourself and talk freely about your feelings, thoughts and experiences. Counseling can help you to improve relationships, develop personally and professionally and make relevant changes in your life.

I think that most psychological problems are developed in the context of human relationships and can find a solution also in supportive and healthy relationships. Part of the counseling work is to explore patients’ views and values about themselves, people around them and the world, to help patients define their abilities, goals and interests. Counseling also serves to know your style of relating with others and how it affects your relationships and mental health.

Some of the issues you can go to counseling for:

  • Feeling stuck and depressed,
  • Having problems getting along with others
  • Indecisiveness, insecurities, and work problems
  • Making an important decision
  • Overcoming a change or problem in your life
  • Wanting to know yourself better.
